Joseph H. Barron established the business as Motor and Machinery Castings in 1923, and it has prospered through three industrial revolutions. From its humble beginnings as a Detroit iron sand foundry that could produce castings up to 60 tons, the company has grown to become a leading global supplier of precision machined castings and components for the automotive, energy technology, aerospace, defense, and other commercial industries.
Barron Industries' origins can be traced back to the 1920s, when it was based in Detroit and cast parts for Henry Ford. The manufacturer was involved in the assembly line revolution of the second industrial revolution, saw the rise of automation in the third industrial revolution, and is currently involved in Industry 4.0.
