In 2008, Tasche Streib, Ryan Gray, and Mike Witt established SGW Designworks. The three recognized it was very difficult to locate qualified firms to help with development difficulties ranging from product design to manufacturing planning after working together on industrial product development and specialist equipment projects for a Fortune 500 company.
The three founders worked hard to establish a reputation for ethics and growth insight while initially using a neighborhood coffee shop in Boise, Idaho as their main office. An SGW Designworks project was mentioned in Eric Ries' 2012 NYT #1 Bestseller, The Lean Startup. The company received a boost as a result, and word traveled quickly.
