Leech Industries, which was first established in 1948 as Leech Tool & Die Works, has evolved into a full-service manufacturing business that provides a variety of services to a broad range of clients.
Four generations of the Leech family have worked together to achieve the same goal since the business was founded: to consistently offer clients high-quality goods and first-rate service.
The Beginning
Joseph Leech travelled from Britain to the United States in 1921. He worked as a superintendent for companies that produced time fuses, detonators, and small shell casings while residing in Chicago and Buffalo. When the zipper was still being developed in 1938, Talon Inc.'s trial facility in Meadville, Pennsylvania, hired Leech as a toolmaker.
