Custom thermoplastic extrusions for a variety of sectors are Extrudex's area of expertise. Extrudex was founded in Chardon, Ohio, in 1980. The company's growth was driven by client demand, which led to the acquisition of production and secondary processing capabilities to enable the company to produce custom-designed products.

Extrudex was sold to Mr. George Humphrey and his family ten years later.  The Humphrey family made investments in more machinery and gear to boost the business's output. Orders for custom plastic extrusions increased at an astonishing rate with the extra capacity.  The company relocated from its initial site in Chardon to a larger plant in Painesville, Ohio, where it is now situated, in a mere two years.

The Granger Plastics Company was established in September 1994 by John Grimes, a rotomolding veteran. In the 1950s, his father, John Grimes Sr., was credited with being one of the industry's founding architects.In 1998, Grimes and his company partner realised they needed more experience for the potential they had just discovered, so they added a third partner. John's previous coworker from his rotomolding days would join the Granger Plastics staff as Jim Cravens. Jim would play a crucial role in Granger's continued expansion, elevating the business to new heights and offering cutting-edge solutions for a large number of brand-new rotomolding clients.

When the rotational moulding business was founded in Sharonville, Ohio, in 1994, it soon saw significant growth for custom rotationally moulded items inside of its first five years.
